Laini is a Senior at Thunder Basin High School. She began dancing at age 4 and joined Dance Arts Gillette in 2015 for its inaugural season. She is an original member of Dance Arts Gillette Youth Company. She took her first Cecchetti USA exam, Grade 3, in 2018 and has gone on to successfully complete the remainder of Cecchetti USA Graded Exams.
She has been a Cecchetti USA Ballet Scholar for 5 years. She attended the Cecchetti USA Summer Intensive Course in Maryland in 2018 and Nevada in 2019 where she was awarded the Runner Up Scholarship for her "Dedication to the study of Cecchetti" by her instructors. After serving as a student assistant for classes at Dance Arts Gillette for several years, she completed her Teaching Certificate Part 1A in 2022 to become Dancer Arts first Certified Student Teacher.
In addition to training in ballet, she has trained in Jazz, Modern, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Contemporary, and Tap with instructors from across the United States including Gary Abbott, Theo Ivey, and John Roberts. In 2018 she had the honor of dancing in New York City at the Statue of Liberty with Beautiful Feet Academy of the Dance Arts as a guest member of their company.
She plans to attend the University of Wyoming to major in Elementary Education and continue her involvement in dance by becoming a dance teacher.
