Emily was raised in Gillette, WY, and has been dancing since she was five years old. During those 13 years, she trained in ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, musical theatre, modern, tap, and pointe. After joining Dance Arts Gillette in 2015, Emily trained specifically in the Cecchetti Method to Grade 5 and the Lester Horton technique. She was also a competitive dancers for nine years, four of those years being with the Dance Arts Youth Company. 

 

After graduating in 2019, Emily went to Montana State University to study Elementary Education and is currently student teaching kindergarten at Prairie Wind Elementary. She is graduating in December of 2022 with her Bachelor's and is excited to continue educating children. 

 

After a brief break from the dance world, Emily is beyond excited to help educate children in dance as well. She will be teaching Ballet, Lyrical and Contemporary and is also the Rehearsal Director the Dance Arts Youth Company. She has obtained her certification in Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) and has future goals to obtain a Cecchetti USA Teaching Certificate.
