Competition Season 2017
Dance Arts Youth Company had an amazing competitive season this year! The Dancers had some tough routines and everyone worked hard to prepare for their competitions.
In addition to winning many top place awards, at Spotlight Dance Competition our Studio's Plaque, which represents all of our group routines, received ALL DIAMOND AWARDS for the Second Consecutive Year!
Every DAYC DANCER is represented on that plaque making Every DAYC DANCER a Diamond Caliber Performer!
We thank ALL of our guest choreographers, Dance Arts teachers, students
and families for our combined efforts which lead to our many successes!

Julie Oliver and students during our "Pas de deux" workshop! The dancers learned lifts and partnering skills!

Susan and Elani with Level I/II students! Workshop includes Horton and Contemporary techniques as well as lecture.

The LIII students worked hard for Theo, and he gave them amazing advice on technique and confidence as a dancer.

Workshops/Guest Teachers 2016
Dance Arts was honored to host some AMAZING guest teachers this past year. First, Julie Oliver of Beautiful Feet Dance Academy in Casper WY came to teach the dancers "Pas de Deux" (Parterning). Next we hosted Susan Richardson of Denver (Horton Technique) and Elani Engelken of NY (Contemporary). Then we brought back a "Dance Arts Favorite" Franca Telesio Smith of Denver (Graham Technique and Ballet). In August, Amantha Vandivere of Diversity Dance Billings, MT gave a workshop in Jazz, Contemporary, Conditioning and Flexibility. She also set a beautiful contemporary piece on the Youth Company. We were visted by Jessica Dyk (Jazz) who set 4 solos on the Company. Then, in November, we were thrilled to host Theo Ivey of San Diego, CA for the a second year who set 2 fantastic pieces on the Company.
We are very fortunate to have these teachers as part of our extended Dance Family and look forward to having them back soon!
